Low flow cutoff

Definition

A threshold below which a flow reading is forced to zero, to stop noise near the bottom of the range accumulating into a totalizer.

Necessary with square root extraction, which amplifies noise badly near zero. Without it, a still pipe reports a wandering trickle and the totalizer records flow that never happened.
