Control narrative
Definition
The document describing what a control system does: the setpoints, the sequences, the interlocks, and the failure behavior, in words rather than code.
It is what the owner will hold the integrator to, and the reference a technician reads years later when the behavior stops making sense. Writing it before the code is what makes the code reviewable.
Also known as: sequence of operation.
