Tag

Definition

A named reference to a value in a controller or SCADA system, such as Pump_1_Run_Cmd.

Naming a tag for what it is rather than where it is wired is what makes a program survive a rewire. Tag naming conventions are one of the cheapest quality decisions on a project.
