Meet Our Leadership Team

Danny Curry

When asked to describe what he does for Curry Controls and their customers, Danny simply responded, “Whatever it takes.” This get-it-done attitude permeates the culture of Curry Controls, encouraging everyone to help each other get the job done.

Danny learned this phrase from his father and company founder, Dave Curry. For over 30 years, Danny has done whatever it takes to bring long-term stability to the organization that bears his family’s name--a name that exemplifies trust, honesty, and integrity. His father started the work, and now Danny feels blessed to carry the baton forward.

It’s not only customers that sing the praises of Curry Controls, but also the employees--many of whom have spent their entire careers as part of the team. Danny shares, “My dad told me a long time ago that if I come to work everyday and make sure that I keep the employees employed, they will be happy, and in turn our customers will be happy, and ultimately the company and its culture will be healthy.”

When he’s not working, Danny enjoys spending time with his wife Alex and their two sons. You’ll find them at their favorite beach getaway on Anna Maria Island, attending sporting events, or traveling together. Danny also enjoys volunteering at Moffitt Cancer Center.

Scott Cyphert

In Scott’s 40 plus years of experience, the two things that have been most important to his career are his passion for the industry and a positive attitude.

His customers will tell you they have benefited from Scott’s willingness to solve problems, overcome obstacles, and keep the team focused on the prize of a successful project. But if you ask Scott, he will humbly say, “I’m just doing my job.”

Scott has been a key player in Curry Controls' success and in establishing a trusted name. He has worked on countless projects over the decades, all different and with unique challenges. But three things have always remained constant: his great attitude, his wealth of knowledge, and his ability to see projects through to the end.

In his personal time, Scott enjoys being outdoors with his wife Dianna, their three children, and their three grandchildren either traveling, fishing, or turkey hunting.

Mike Hixon

Over 40 years ago, Mike was serving our country with the Navy as an Interior Communication Electrician Mate. It was aboard a Naval nuclear submarine that Mike not only learned a lot at an early age, but also fell in love with two things: the industry that has become his career and the joy of being part of a team.

Mike handpicks every customer project team to ensure the requirements of the project are aligned with the best possible team members. He strives to select a team with the right experience and power to do the job--hopefully without him even being seen! But if needed, he will be there to bring his decades of diverse experience and insights to solve any problems the team may encounter.

On the weekends, you’ll find Mike spending time with his bride Jackie, their three boys, and their two grandkids. He also enjoys fishing and swimming. Mike’s favorite movie is The Hunt for Red October--of course!
